Hello Playmosirène There is no driver for Windows 11 yet. However, you can use the driver for Windows 10. I am using version 4.5.3123.329 (CaptureOnTouch V4 Pro). The reinstallation has worked for me. Since then it works again. But it is important to remove "Canon driver for P-208II" and "CaptureOnTouch". Unplug your scanner, restart the PC and start the installation of the scanner all over again without plugging in the scanner. First install "Canon driver for P-208II" and then "CaptureOnTouch". Before plugging in the scanner, check that the "Auto Start" switch is set to Off and then connect the scanner. After that it should work again as usual. If it does not work, there is another possibility. Set the "Auto Start" switch to ON. The scanner will then register itself as an external hard disc on a drive when plugged in. The "CaptureOnTouch" programme is on there, you can use this. If this does not work either, try using a different USB cable. Greetings Marcel

Helpful answer

Hello, I had quite a few problems when I switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Finally got it to work by installing the latest driver and turning the autoboot switch off. No experience with Win 11

Officially there is no Win 11 driver; see here: https://de.canon.ch/support/consumer_products/products/scanners/others/imageformula_p-208ii.html?type=drivers&language=&os=windows%2010%20(64-bit) Did you try to re-install the Win10 x64 driver from above download-link ? Do you mean there's an unrecognized device in device manager ? There's another solution, you can buy this software, it does support the scanner natively, without need to install a driver. Check the compatibility list; P-208II is supported. You can try it before purchasing. https://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/canon.html#scanner-drivers

I have found out in the meantime. It works with OS CATALINA! Simply download the latest software directly from canon https://de.canon.ch/support/consumer_products/products/scanners/others/imageformula_p-208ii.html?type=download&softwaredetailid=tcm:88-1827098&os=macos%2010.15%20%28catalina%29&language=

On the one hand, the device has an automatic page feeder so that several pages (approx. 6 work well) can be scanned in one piece to form a document. Secondly, after a scan, the software asks if you want to add another document or save the PDF. Save as should also work, but I have never tried it. Different scan templates can be defined, which determine the quality and type of the scan, but also the storage location and the naming scheme of the file (e.g. with time stamp). I find the product super practical and handy.
