An ideal companion for scanning documents on the go.
I use the scanner mainly for on-site revision work (scanning of receipts). Here, compact dimensions, easy handling and fast scanning of the documents are the most important factors.
Setting up the scanner was very easy (insert DVD, start setup). The software supplied is ideal for scanning documents (searchable PDFs). The most frequently used settings can be saved as default and scanning is done at the touch of a button.
The machine works very quickly. A very practical feature is that several sheets can be inserted into the sheet feeder. In addition, the originals can be scanned on both sides and blank pages can be deleted automatically, which further speeds up the workflow. Business cards can also be scanned, although I have not yet tried this myself.
Another special feature of the Canon P-215 II is that it can be easily connected to the USB port. The supplied power adapter is not necessary for this (handy if the adapter is forgotten).Pro

Practical compact design
I'm very happy with the scanner, it's easy to carry around and the images are good. Sometimes you have to help it detect the paper.

Good Scanner Support from Canon Poor
Unfortunately I could not find the upgrade software with my Mac. With a Windows PC it was discoverable; strange!
