From the foreword: In 2010, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work estimated the economic costs of burnout syndrome in the EU to be around 20 billion euros annually. In contrast, the DAK reported in 2013 a significantly reduced number of sick leave notifications due to burnout and stated that the prevalence of burnout is 'significantly overestimated.' This book introduces coaches, medical professionals, and psychologists who have intensively engaged with the topic of burnout and continue to do so, encountering clients or patients who are at risk of or already suffering from burnout in their daily practice.
