In the private sphere, there are probably no other interactions as important for well-being as a happy romantic relationship and close friendships. Numerous studies show that people in harmonious relationships are physically and mentally healthier than those who live alone. Most people live in relationships at least temporarily. However, they have rarely learned how to interact with their partners, children, friends, etc., in a way that makes these relationships satisfying for all parties involved. When relationships do not work out, they are often ended more quickly today than in the past. Divorces are seen as a serious social problem, as they generally affect not only individuals but also families. This work was therefore written based on the old adage "prevention is better than cure." The focus is on communication skills in romantic relationships. In addition to presenting various communication theories and models, the foundations of a romantic relationship, as well as psychological and social work aspects, are also highlighted.
