The book "Scheduling Theory" offers a comprehensive analysis and systematic presentation of scheduling theory, which has established itself as an independent discipline since the 1950s. In light of the increasing automation in various areas of human activity, interest in this topic has grown. The quality of modern production heavily depends on the scheduling decisions made at different stages of the production process. While the quality of these decisions is continuously improving, the importance of time and flexibility requirements is increasing. The two volumes, originally published in Russian and authored by a group of Belarusian mathematicians, cover essential problem areas of scheduling theory and should be regarded as a comprehensive monograph. The English translations of these works have been made possible with the support of prominent scholars and provide valuable insights into the subject.
