Josephine is a homeless portrait artist who turns out to be a stowaway on Peter's yacht as he sets sail from Split to the Ionian Sea. Peter accepts Josephine's presence, and together they navigate the eastern Mediterranean, visiting islands like Crete, Rhodes, and Cyprus. Over time, they open up to each other and share their life stories, which have striking similarities yet are told in completely different ways. By the end of their journey, they find themselves in Malta. The tale of losing loved ones, of homelessness, and the contrast between rich and poor ultimately becomes a story of love between two people and their connection to the sea.
