The book "Time Series and Synthetic Images for Land Cover Changes" offers a comprehensive analysis of methods for detecting changes in land use and fusing images of varying resolutions, particularly in the complex environments of Ecuador. It highlights the challenges posed by the limited availability of data and variable atmospheric conditions. The author, Oscar Javier Espejo Valero, examines the effectiveness of time series analyses using Landsat and Landsat-MODIS images to quantify changes in the Sabana de Bogotá between 2007 and 2013. This study represents a significant advancement in the application of modern image processing techniques in equatorial regions and is the first of its kind in Colombia to integrate such methods.
