Sören loves music, but he has had enough of the boring, monotonous whale songs that are so popular with adults. He decides to make his own music: his songs should be shorter, faster, and above all, more melodic, preferably with rattles and drums. However, when he presents the song to his best friend Hans, the reaction is different than expected: he finds it terrible. Sören is disappointed, but he doesn't think about giving up. He takes the criticism to heart and tries again, over and over.
