Using a material flow-based economic evaluation model, she conducts in-depth analyses of landfill mining in Germany and derives recommendations for action for landfill operators, potential investors, and policymakers. She identifies the value of the landfill property and the prices paid for the incineration of fractions in thermal treatment facilities as the main influencing factors on the economic viability of landfill mining projects.
