Product details
Brazil 1988: Six students set off to spend a few quiet days in the mountains of Minas Gerais. However, the intense heat from the blast furnaces, the red dust, and the unending supply of alcohol cloud their senses here and there. This is unfortunate when they also encounter some truly dangerous individuals. The author: Originally, I wanted to write down memories of my first trip to Brazil in 1988: I was in my early 20s at the time. Memories of the many nights spent on a travel bus in the backcountry of Minas Gerais or Bahia, sleepless nights in the bars of Belo Horizonte, the brutal contrasts between rich and poor, and the deep and valuable friendships. However, with the first lines, my pen took on a life of its own. The author’s fee from the sale of this book will go to a project of children's aid in Sete Lagoas, Brazil.
