Lamprecht the Seventh, King of the Hares and Rabbits, promises his daughter to whoever sings the most beautiful song about her. Luckily, the little Lodengrün excels at this art, as his heart has long belonged to the princess. However, Lodengrün won't have it easy. Even though the hare Hyazinth Löffelstein sings terribly off-key, the Minister of Hare Singing and Director Wackelohr have their own schemes in mind. The original recordings from 1958 featuring Klaus Havenstein, Franz Muxeneder, and Charles Regnier continue to delight both young and old.
