Human history has always been shaped by migration processes. However, migration could not and cannot solve the problems in the countries of origin, but it creates new problems in the destination countries. The author develops proposals for a realistic immigration policy: from effective border controls to the effective tackling of the root causes of flight in the home countries. A profound analysis that should be widely discussed – as it concerns the survival of our democratic system.
