This academic book examines the United Nations peace operations in the post-war period, with a special focus on the UNPROFOR mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina from February 1992 to December 1995. It is regarded as one of the largest peace missions in Europe and worldwide. The author analyzes the complex ethnic conflicts that arose during this time and highlights issues such as preventive diplomacy, humanitarian intervention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, and post-conflict reconstruction in the former Yugoslavia.
