"Thema verfehlt" is a contemporary witness based on personal observations and reflections. This book addresses the position of foreign women and mothers in German society today and in recent decades, from the perspective of a French woman who has lived in Germany for twenty years. It consistently presents authentic personal experiences and examples, as well as those of friends.

First and foremost, I want to emphasize that I still love and appreciate Germany, the German people, and the German language immensely. However, as with some love relationships, one realizes after a certain time that one is not compatible. This is true even when one still loves the other like no one else. The pain of this realization is immense, but reality is merciless: it is better to part ways and follow one's own path—far from the other.
