After the success of 'Typology. Hong Kong, Rome, New York, Buenos Aires' Emanuel Christ, Christoph Gantenbein and their team at ETH Zurich have continued the analytical search for the typical example in four other cities. Typology 2' presents 200 further buildings in Paris, Delhi, São Paulo and Athens. This subjective and selective inventory of mostly unknown, anonymous buildings in the four major cities provides the basis for new urban designs. The individual buildings are presented with floor plans, axonometries, site plans, photos and brief information. In addition to an introduction by the editors, there are four texts by renowned guest authors explaining the interaction between the various actors, in particular the influence of urban construction regulations on the buildings. The book thus offers practical inspiration for modern urban architectural designs.
