The vehicle wind tunnel is one of the most expensive and widely used test facilities in the automotive industry. Its flow processes are highly complex and still partially unclear. Christoph Schönleber enhances the fundamental understanding of the flow processes in the wind tunnel with his study and provides recommendations on how to prevent measurement errors caused by the excitation of instabilities. For his investigations, he has combined various measurement tools and methods and confirmed them through the use of numerical simulation.
