Product details
To produce high-quality corn silage, farms require significant harvesting capacity to harvest large quantities of silage corn in the shortest possible time frame. This capacity should therefore be present at all stages of the silage chain. The high throughput of field choppers, with up to 300 tons of fresh matter per hour, can be transported to the silo with appropriate logistics, where the bottleneck often occurs during the compaction process. The rolling vehicles are often unable to adequately compact the amounts of silage material, leading to fermentation failures. These fermentation failures result in both financial and qualitative losses in silage preparation. In practice, there is a significant need for action regarding optimal compaction technology due to the described situation.
