Social pedagogy originated from the active love of neighbor in Christianity. However, today it seems that it has almost forgotten its roots and has banished any religious references from both theory and practice. This is also evident in the concept of human images, which are becoming increasingly secular, empirical, and value-free. Social pedagogy and religion in the form of theology are becoming more and more estranged from each other. Thus, the question arises whether and how the two disciplines and human images can still be united.
