Brave, determined, and with unparalleled commitment, Simon Weil fought throughout her life for a better world. She placed the painful experiences of factory workers at the center of her engagement. Surprisingly, Weil's vision for solving the social question is closely related to God. However, she does not advocate for a renunciation of the worldly in faith. The religious sister Britta Müller-Schauenburg describes Weil's attitude in her preface as a "spiritual approach" to "soulless routines": external control and feelings of meaninglessness that continue to spread today, much like social injustice.
