The specialized book "Living Conditions and Social Policy Funded by the EU in Łódź Municipalities" offers a comprehensive analysis of the impact of EU funds on living conditions in the municipalities of the Łódź Voivodeship between 2008 and 2012. The author, Kamil Kruszynski, particularly examines the programs of the Operational Program for Human Resources, which focus on labor market opening and the promotion of social integration. By creating a ranking of the municipalities and applying statistical methods as well as panel regression models, the relationship between living conditions and the utilization of EU funds is thoroughly explored. The findings are supplemented by qualitative data from surveys and interviews with over 80 participants, including project leaders in 135 municipalities. This work is of great significance for understanding the social and economic dynamics in the region and provides valuable insights for policymakers and researchers.
