Product details
Doris Wiedemann, the renowned world traveler and motorcycle adventurer, was the first woman to ride the infamous Dalton Highway in winter. Together with Dutchman Sjaak Lucassen, she traveled from the southernmost point of the USA to the northernmost place accessible by public roads during the coldest season of the year. The journalist recounts her extreme adventure, from Key West in Florida to Deadhorse in Alaska, experiencing temperatures ranging from +25 to -52 degrees Celsius – and encounters with biker legends Dave Barr, Ted Simon, and Helge Pedersen, as well as ice sculptors, the Northern Lights, and challenges like frozen tires, icy roads, and snowstorms.
