Nessino Table Lamp. Reviving the spirit of the Sixties: Giancarlo Mattioli designed its larger counterpart, Nesso, in 1965 for the Italian brand Artemide, which has since won numerous design awards. Its mushroom shape is certainly not a cultural reference to the psychedelics popular at the time, especially since the previously very successful original design was translated in 2003 into a contemporary, unquestionable material language. Rather, the mushroom-shaped design provides soft, diffuse light through the mushroom cap and direct (reading) light onto the lamp's base. Whether as a iconic bedside lamp or as ambient lighting in the living room, the Nessino table lamp by Artemide is sure to attract admiration from everyone.
