Product details
Give the rosy-cheeked ski optimist a little push and watch her jump for joy over the sparkling white snow on the mountain. Skiing Bimble is ready with her red pointed hat – both excited and proud – prepared for adventures in the winter landscape. The skis can be put on and taken off. Height 7.2 cm, diameter 6.1 cm.
With a strong belief in the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created his cheerful Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to create a figure that would serve as an eternal reminder to stay positive and optimistic. Although the 60s are often referred to as "The Happy 60s," the decade was marked by unrest. Therefore, Ehrenreich's design was a welcome source of joy in an otherwise turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble represent the very first Hoptimists from the designer's hand: a school-dressed girl with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a splint on his head. The cheerful Hoptimists are now a part of Danish design history and bring joy to people around the world.
