Correct, the lampshade is matt aluminium, the base and the frame are chrome-plated.
The product description says "E14" as the socket. So corresponding LED lamps with the E14 socket should work :-)

The Artemide Tolomeo range exists with LEDs (irreplaceable), which is more expensive, or with standard E27 or E14 sockets depending on the model. You can then screw in the bulb of your choice (halogen, LED or classic, depending on the power and the desired savings).
