Arne Jacobsen Alarm Clock. Originally designed by the Danish designer for the manufacturer Lauritz Knudsen in 1939, this table clock featured a hand-wound movement made from a novel material called plastic. The round clock case rests on a graceful arc of stainless steel. The Danish manufacturer Rosendahl now equips each table clock with a modern quartz movement (AA 1.5V battery, not included), which reliably wakes you without the need for daily winding. Instead of a clanging metal bell, it features an electronic chime that gently increases in volume. Additionally, the modern version of this classic includes a backlit dial with a sensor switch and a snooze function. Rosendahl offers the Arne Jacobsen alarm clock with different dials: this table clock traditionally comes with modern Arabic numerals and dot markers.
