It is essential that these luminaires are operated with the LED driver provided for this purpose. In certain cases, the luminaires can also be operated on existing power supplies, but the required minimum wattage must be observed. Use with the designated LED drivers is recommended for the longest life and compatibility, thus minimizing luminaire flicker. The 5 W luminaires protrude from most lamp housings and are therefore not suitable for enclosed housings. Lamp life may decrease in enclosed sockets. A 3-year warranty applies only when these LED lights are operated with the designated LED driver.
