Bought this light after discovering through answers here that it could also be controlled by Bluetooth but app does not find anything when turned on, do I really need to buy hue bridge to access the app? Im really confused.
Yes, this is the BT enabled version. You don't need a bridge. There should be a bluetooth symbol on the retail package of your lamp.
If there is no BT symbol you got the wrong product.
In the app press the three dots ... there you first have to add the lamp before you can control it.
