The product is a connecting cable (flex connector) for extending or bridging distances of up to one metre between LED strands. It is not designed to be connected directly to the power supply unit before the first LED string is connected. The cable serves as a connection between LED strands, not as a direct power supply connection. You should therefore connect the LED string first and then use the connection cable.
