Can the lamp be dimmed via a rotary switch?

Yes, according to the manufacturer, the lamp is dimmable. The manufacturer lists a few compatible dimmers on the product page. I use the lamp successfully in combination with an RC (trailing edge) dimmer with a power range of 20-315 watts.

There is no dimmer included... I don't know whether the lamp is dimmable.
