Does the strip have to be connected directly to the bridge or does my Hue app find the strip as soon as it is plugged in?

The Philips Hue Outdoor Lightstrip does not need to be connected directly to the Bridge, but it must be within the range of the Bridge or other Philips Hue lights. Here are the steps to install the strip:
- Make sure your Hue Bridge is plugged in, connected to Wi-Fi and added to the Hue app.
- Install the Outdoor Lightstrip in your desired location and switch it on.
- Open the Hue app, go to the Home tab, tap the three-dot icon and select Add lights. The app should find the Lightstrip automatically. If not, you can enter the serial number of the product.
