I need "Halogen 12 V GU 5.3 / 50 W / 20 W" for an old floor lamp - can I use this LED instead without any problems?

50W spot with 12V? For GU5.3? Are they safe? Normally the 50W halogen spotlights with GU10 sockets are operated with 230V. Accordingly, the connection/socket is different for GU10 and GU5.3. However, you can easily replace a 20W halogen spot with 12V GU5.3 with this Phliips Hue Spot. For GU10 you would have to buy e.g. Philips Hue White Ambiance GU10.
