I only need 60cm LEDs for a piece of furniture, so this extension would be perfect. But does this one metre also come with a power supply unit or is it only intended for existing LEDs?

The Philips Hue Gradient Ambiance extension is specially designed to extend existing LED strips. It does not require its own power supply unit as it is connected to the existing LED strip. It can therefore not be used on its own, but only in combination with a basic set of the Hue Gradient Ambiance LED strip.
