Is it possible to set tones/songs from the mobile phone as the alarm tone for the alarm clock? If so, does it have to be connected via USB or Bluetooth?

The instruction manual is extremely poor - it is a double-sided sheet with only very brief instructions. The USB socket on the unit is always identified as a charging socket "for smartphones or tablets" rather than as a USB port (common misuse of USB ports). There is no mention of Bluetooth. You can download this manual from the Pure website. You can also make a service request there, they answered my question promptly and competently. - To your question: probably not.
