Adsorptive Filtration with Activated Carbon Felt
For adsorptive filtration, which is used to remove chemical pollutants (chlorine, pharmaceutical residues, etc.), EHEIM offers special activated carbon felts and mats as inserts in the filter.
Adsorptive filtration is typically only necessary during the initial setup phase of the aquarium or after the use of medications. The filter media should only be used for a limited period (approximately 4 weeks) and then removed or replaced.
