Despite this protective coating, the hutch should not be permanently exposed to rain or snow without protection. This hutch is particularly distinguished by its two levels. The levels are connected by a bridge, which can be closed off. The sleeping compartment provides the rodents with a place to retreat. The hutch features a plastic tray that can be easily pulled out for simple cleaning. In winter, it is advisable to provide ample bedding in the hutch and to always offer the animals fresh water and food. Rodents should have access to fresh hay 24 hours a day. Additionally, we recommend protecting the hutch with a suitable thermal windbreak to shield it from moisture. This windbreak ensures that the animals do not have to sit in drafts. In summer, the animals should not be exposed to direct sunlight and should always have fresh food and cool water available.
