Ceramic glass rings for equipping internal or external aquarium filters

Mechanically acting filter media are mainly used to remove suspended particles.

Thanks to their special shape and large surface area, ceramic rings create turbulence in the water in the filter basket. This allows suspended particles to settle as they sink and coarse dirt particles are removed from the water cycle.

This highly porous shape provides more than twice the surface area for bacteria to colonise than conventional ceramic rings of the same size. They also provide optimum conditions for the colonisation of filter bacteria and thus reduce nitrite load peaks better than conventional filter materials.

Due to their small size, ceramic rings can be used in even the smallest components of internal, external and cascade filters.

1 PU suitable for approx. 2250 m³ of water and should be cleaned at regular intervals. Replacement is only necessary in the event of severe mechanical damage.
