For the proper keeping of poultry, ample space is essential. In addition to daily exercise in a large free-range enclosure, these animals also require a spacious retreat where they are protected from predators and weather conditions. This chicken coop offers a free-range area as well as a sheltered space for sleeping and nesting, and can complement a large free-range enclosure and a roomy barn for poultry keeping.

The chicken coop is made of spruce wood and has external dimensions of 201 x 81.3 x 116.5 cm. The integrated sleeping house features a perch, and the well-sealed wooden roof is insulated with bitumen, ensuring that the entire chicken coop is protected from rain. Easy and hygienic cleaning is facilitated by the droppings tray made of galvanized metal, which can be pulled out. A slip-resistant ramp connects the free-range area with the house. To ensure that all areas of the coop can be accessed for cleaning or nesting inspections, the nesting box has a lift-up roof, and both the coop and the free-range area are equipped with doors.

Note: While chickens are not large animals, they still require enough space to live comfortably. Each chicken needs 10 square meters available. Since chickens are social animals, space must be provided for an entire group. A group can consist of one rooster and three to six hens. Therefore, for this group size, at least 40 to 70 square meters of space is needed.
