You can use both clumping and non-clumping (special cover is included for second one). I prefer first one, used Catsan and Coop Prix Garantie Blue Signal - and last one is better. I have 2 cats, they are using it 6-8 times per day (its a lot, due to health problems), need to cleanup trashbox twice per week.
