A high-quality knife should only be used with a suitable knife-friendly cutting board. The advantage of fiber boards lies not only in protecting the blade but also in their maintenance-free nature and moisture resistance. The Biowood fiber cutting board can be safely washed in the dishwasher and, unlike traditional solid wood boards, does not need to be sanded or oiled.

The board is noticeably thinner than conventional wooden boards and initially feels hard under the knife; however, it quickly becomes softer with use and is more knife-friendly than plastic cutting boards. The heat resistance of pressed wood fiber is also significantly higher than that of traditional wooden boards, allowing it to be comfortably used as a trivet as well. Biowood fiber boards have received NSF certification, thus meeting strict hygiene standards. The size of the board is 24 x 14 cm and the thickness is 6.5 mm.

Scratches that occur on the surface of the board can be removed with fine sandpaper, although this is often unnecessary since the scratches are merely a cosmetic issue.
