Turn the damaged fabric inside out and lay it flat on a firm surface. Cut the patch all around with at least a 1 cm overhang, rounding the corners. Place the iron-on patch with the coated side facing down. For cotton or linen, set the iron to level 3 and press firmly for about 25 seconds. For delicate fabrics, set the iron to the maximum allowable temperature and press for about 35 seconds. To protect the fabric, place a thin cloth or ironing net on top. Allow the garment to cool for a few minutes, turn it over, and press against it for about 25–30 seconds. After that, let the garment lie flat and cool down. Repeat the ironing process if necessary. Iron only when dry – without a damp cloth – without steam.
