Carbon steel pans are highly favored by professional chefs due to their excellent cooking properties and nearly unlimited lifespan. The carbon steel pan is an outstanding alternative to coated Teflon pans. While Teflon coatings wear off with use, the properties and non-stick quality of the carbon steel pan improve with each use. A well-maintained carbon steel pan develops a natural non-stick surface from carbon and fat, allowing a frequently used carbon steel pan to achieve the cooking properties of cast iron and the non-stick quality of Teflon pans. You can use metal utensils with this pan.

The Monart Poele is pre-treated at the factory and coated with beeswax. Before the first use, you should wash the pan with warm water to remove any storage dust and excess beeswax. The small amount of wax that remains does not hinder but rather supports the initial use of the pan. It is also advisable to grease the pan with oil before the first use.

Suitable for all heat sources and cooktops, including induction cooktops. The pan can also be used in the oven (200 °C max. 10 minutes).
