Cartridge lifespan: In a household of four people, such a cartridge lasts about 9 months with average water consumption. After that, it can no longer adsorb the aforementioned toxins from the water. However, regulations specify different timeframes for when these cartridges must be replaced. According to DIN 1988, it is stipulated that all cartridges must be renewed every 6 months, as otherwise there is a risk of bacterial growth.

Differences from other activated carbon cartridges: These filter cartridges are also referred to as granulated activated carbon and are used in reverse osmosis filter systems alongside post-activated carbon filters and block activated carbon.
