In contrast to static filter technologies, cross-flow filters are able to clarify liquids with a relatively high turbidity content. This NW-SHW1 pre-filter is supplied with a siliphos reservoir (approx. 140 g).

Siliphos filters can extend the service life of washing machines or dishwashers and reduce detergent consumption by up to 30 %, depending on the water hardness, while increasing the cleaning effect. If the filter is used in the dishwasher, there is no need for additional salting. In addition, water pipes are protected against corrosion and existing incrustations are slowly broken down, which prevents brown/red discolouration of the water caused by dirty pipes, among other things.

The service life varies and depends on various factors, such as the water quality. The useful life ends when the siliphos granulate is used up. The granules can then simply be replaced.

The filter is simply installed before the aquastop of the dishwasher or washing machine.

Mode of action:
Phosphatisation does not refer to softening in the true sense of the word, but rather to keeping the hardening agents in solution. By using polyphosphate, the magnesium and calcium in the water are bound to the polyphosphate to form a water-soluble complex. A welcome side effect is the corrosion protection of the water pipes and even the slow degradation of existing incrustations.
