Hello, I make breads with approx. 380g water and 590g flour, so with a dough weight of approx. 1 kg in this pot. You don't have to burn it in.

The red roasting tin is enamelled on the inside, so it's more expensive. However, I like to roast my meat directly in the roasting tin. It works better in the black roasting tin.

The clarification with the supplier resulted in the following dimensions L 33cm x W 26cm x H 12cm / 6,5l.
The 26 cm one is approximately 18.5cm high, measuring to the top of the lid handle.
There was a customer who wrote: 32 x 25 x 12 cm.

I always do this too (with the lid closed) and have not noticed anything.
