Yes, but only "normal" bottles. I think bottles which are wide below cannot fit, but I'm not sure. Don't have any of those wide bottles at home now, and usually using this one for sparkling wine: WMF Champagnerkühler Michalsky Table If you want, wait few more days and I can test. Or come around with one bottle and we drink it ;)

No we use us as it is - no need to fill with ice either. It maintains the wine bottle temperature quite nice for a couple of hours.

You have to put it in the freezer!
