The thing is not suitable for cutting French fries,
On the one hand, you have far too little leverage and accordingly force to cut a large potato. In addition, the thing cants easily when cutting and then everything is jammed.
After I tried it with 3 potatoes, I gave up. It probably works for (soft) vegetables like zucchini, (very) small potatoes/vegetables.Contra

Nice, simple works well
Works well easy to set up and use, feels a little flimsy on bigger items (potatoes), you have to push a lot but it works well irrespective of that.

Absolutely Unsuitable!!
Belongs in the category of toys, but certainly not in the kitchen. Large potatoes can not be cut in one piece, because the lever travel is too small. So gin^bts no long frites.
With an Agria potato, my strength was not enough to cut the potato in one pass. Only with Schlögen on the lever I could cut the potato into frites.
Absolutely unsuitable. !!! Waste of money!!!

Our parents' old models had room for a container. With this new generation, it's a must. Too bad
