The Sonett Tabs contain minerals and fully biodegradable organic components. They do not contain enzymes, aggressive chlorine-based bleaches, phosphates, or fragrances. The dishwasher's softening system should be set 8 °dH / 15 °fH higher than the actual water hardness. Please refer to your dishwasher's manual for the procedure. The chambers for regenerating salt and rinse aid should always be filled. Silicates and soda are mineral substances that do not need further breakdown in nature. Citrate, a substance found in plants, animals, and humans, is completely broken down in nature by naturally occurring microorganisms within 2 to 3 days. Sodium percarbonate decomposes during the washing and bleaching process into mineral soda, water, and oxygen, thus leaving the dishwasher in a state that requires no further breakdown. This means that the bleaching process is simultaneously the breakdown process. During the manufacturing process of sugar surfactants and sulfated castor oil, parts of starch, sugar, and fat are extracted from the plant raw materials, but their natural structural integrity is fully preserved. Therefore, it is relatively easy for microorganisms to quickly and completely break down these surfactants to 100%. Citrate, carboxymethyl inulin, tetranatrium glutamate diacetate, and sodium gluconate, sugar surfactants, and sulfated castor oil are considered readily biodegradable according to OECD guidelines.
