The plates are non-stick and dishwasher safe, and come in a practical storage box, including a recipe booklet. The selection of plates can be continuously expanded. The Snack Collection makes all preparations easier with an operation and temperature control light, on/off switch, anti-slip feet, and a safety latch on the handle.

Source: GalaxusIn the group of Belgian waffle irons, the model from Tefal came out on top. Here, the baking plates can not only be removed, but even exchanged. This means that the appliance can also be used as a sandwich maker. Additional baking plates can be purchased as an option. The only drawback is that the temperature cannot be adjusted, so the browning intensity can only be changed via the baking time.
If you only want to roast sandwiches, the appliance from Klarstein for approx. 32 euros is a good choice. The 3in1 appliances offer more functions. The Russell Hobbs for around 40 euros scores good to very good, as does the very stable Steba SG 55 for around 75 euros. The Tefal SW 852D for around 100 euros scored best in the sandwich and waffle test...
