1) Does this sparkling water maker have a firm stand? Compared to the Sodastream ones, this one seems to be very simple/slim. 2) Are the glass bottles from SodaStream compatible with this sparkling water maker?

The bottles of the "old" system are compatible, as are inexpensive competitor products.
