Can a washing machine + tumble dryer also be placed on this base as a tower? What is the load-bearing capacity of the base?

Hello Anonymous,

I ordered these (2) plinths a good year ago, but I use them solo for one elevation each for the washing machine and tumble dryer (simple stand elevation).
Here is the link to the manufacturer: https://www.xavax.eu/00111380...

The manufacturer Xavax does not say whether the base is also suitable for raising the height of a washing tower, but in my opinion that would be too risky given the very high load capacity of 150 kg (according to the manufacturer). However, the base itself is very robustly built, as you can see in the pictures.

I see the problem above all (safety) in the fact that the paintwork used as the base (Xavax Gigant base) is powder-coated and therefore rather smooth. A clean frame would therefore have to be made so that the feet of the washing machine (washing machine/tumble dryer combination) would then be really securely secured against slipping. The Xavax frame has a clearance of around 17mm on the left and right (standard dimensions) when the machine is standing on it (outside knurled screw for height adjustment to the outer edge of the plinth stop). If the pedestal had an additional diagnostic brace, it would probably work. Without this, fatigue fractures are to be expected in the area of the threaded holes over time.

I hope to be able to help with this information.

They are solid, but the height of 2 machines seems very uncomfortable to me. On the other hand, I have one to give away, but you have to come and get it in Nyon
